Solar for rural business, commercial, schools & churches

A 30-year hedge on your biggest utility line.

Dealerships, manufacturers, funeral homes, seed plants and schools have all gone solar with SolarCAM. Business systems placed in service by the end of 2027 still earn the 30% federal credit, and 100% bonus depreciation is back.

Manufacturing & shops

Daytime shift loads line up with solar production, so most energy is used on site at full retail value.

The business case in 2026

Credit, depreciation, and the deadline

  • 30% investment tax credit for systems placed in service by December 31, 2027 (the begin-construction safe harbor closed July 4, 2026)
  • 100% bonus depreciation restored for equipment acquired after January 19, 2025, on top of 5-year MACRS
  • Illinois Shines REC payments for Illinois facilities up to 5 MW, 15% at energization then ratably over 6 years for systems over 25 kW
  • Foreign-adversary content rules now apply to the credit; we document panel and inverter origin on every project

Incentive figures are estimates for illustration only and are not guarantees. Program rules, prices and availability change; eligibility is determined by the program administrator or USDA, not by Ag Technologies. Consult your tax advisor about credits and depreciation.

Schools, churches & municipal

Tax-exempt? You still have options.

Public schools, townships and houses of worship can’t use a tax credit directly, but elective pay (“direct pay”) lets tax-exempt entities receive the 30% credit value as a payment from the IRS for projects placed in service by the end of 2027. Mentone Elementary School and the Fulton County USDA Service Center both run on SolarCAM arrays.

Send us 12 months of bills and your interval data if you have it.

You’ll get a sized system, a cash-flow model with credit and depreciation, and an honest read on whether solar pencils for your facility.
