Our story
We sold the tractors first. Then we figured out solar.
Ag Technologies, Inc. grew out of the Straeter family’s New Holland dealership in Rochester, Indiana. The solar business started in 2012 with a prototype stand at the USDA Service Center next door. Today SolarCAM is on more than 1,000 farms, businesses and homes.

Why a farm-equipment family
Farmers buy from people who service iron
The family business started selling New Holland equipment in Rochester in 1984 and now runs dealerships across north-central Indiana. Renewable energy began as an experiment: windmills that never paid back, a solar water heater, then a tilt-adjustable solar array at the dealership in January 2012 that clearly did. SolarCAM was born that year.
That background shows up in the product: a stand engineered like a piece of equipment, a parts counter, service trucks and a 30-year view of the customer.
