Solar for homes & acreages
If you have a sunny spot in the yard, you have a better roof.
A SolarCAM ground mount behind the house faces true south, tilts with the seasons and never touches your shingles. Each panel reports to a monitoring app, and the whole thing is serviced by people 20 minutes away.

What homeowners should know in 2026
The federal homeowner credit ended. Illinois stepped in.
The 30% residential tax credit (25D) expired for costs paid after December 31, 2025. For Illinois homes that makes Illinois Shines the main incentive: 15 years of REC payments, now with 50% paid at energization, plus a $20-per-REC adder for customer-owned systems that don’t claim a federal credit. For an average 10 kW home system that adder alone is worth roughly $3,700 over the contract in our estimates.
Indiana homeowners: there is no state REC program, but investor-owned utilities credit exports under their distributed-generation tariffs and co-ops set their own. We size to self-consumption first.

Home FAQ
Common questions
How much space do I need?
A typical 10 kW home system is about 24 panels in one or two rows, roughly the footprint of a two-car garage, placed 20–60 feet from the house.
Can I add a battery?
Yes. Battery storage can be added for backup of selected circuits, and many customers add it later.
Does it work with my HOA or county?
Rural counties generally treat it as an accessory structure. We pull the permit and handle inspection.
What does it cost?
Home systems commonly land in the low-to-mid five figures before incentives, depending on size and trenching. Your quote is based on your actual bills, not a national average.
Can I still get the federal tax credit?
Not for a home system placed in service in 2026 or later. If part of your property is a farm or business, that portion may qualify for the business credit; ask your tax advisor.
