This fall we will be reviewing the information covered in the spring training with a brief quiz. The above link will direct you to the quiz. It is made of 10 true and false/yes and no questions. If you need to review the material from spring please find it in the spring posting. Please have this completed before the end of the year, 12/31/2025. Your responses will appear in an inbox and receipt will be confirmed.
Training sessions will be updated and posted for agents of Ag Technologies, Inc., Approved Vendor #336 of the Adjustable Block Program, to participate in and complete for the required semi-annual regulatory training. The covered materials for each session are provided so an agent can print and follow along during the training session or have the printed materials to reference when meeting with a customer.
Net Metering
On January 1, 2025 1:1 net metering in Illinois changed to net supply only. This means that customer’s whose exports are greater than their consumption for over a monthly billing period, the electricity provider [if a public utility] will apply a 1:1 kWh or monetary credit to the customer’s subsequent bill [at the customer’s election] for supply only.
REMCs and municipalities will have slight differences. If a customer’s electricity provider is an REMC or municipality you should contact them for specific details on their individual net metering programs.
Smart Inverter Rebate
Provided the customer installs a smart inverter, customers are eligible to receive a rebate for their solar and storage systems. Those values are currently as follows:
Distributed Generation
- $300/kW for residential and small commercial solar facilities; 0-25kW DC
- $250/kW for community solar and large commercial and industrial solar facilities; 25-5000kW DC
Storage
- $300/kWh for residential and small commercial storage [coupled with solar]; 0-25kW DC
- $250/kW for community solar and large commercial and industrial solar facilities; 25-5000kW DC
