About our Founder

Jim Straeter is the founder of six New Holland Agriculture dealerships and Ag Technologies, Inc. – where the solar energy business started. His passion for renewable energies began long before diving into the solar energy market. The developments of a backyard solar water heater, a patented methane digester, and a corn stover harvester called Cornrower® only scratch the surface of what’s been done with his passion towards using renewable energy.

Recognition for his innovations include an “ASAE TOP 50” award in 2012 and a “Silver Award” at Agritechnica show in 2014 in Hannover, Germany.
